On Tuesday Agriculture Ministry decided to announce a tender for the subsidized export of dairy products in H1 2003. The revenues of the transaction should be the subsidy, Katarina Czajlikova, spokeswoman of the Agriculture Minister, informed SITA.
The Ministry decided to announce a tender in order to eliminate the milk surplus at the domestic market. The public tender, announced thorough the Agricultural Intervention Agency, applies to the export between February 20, 2003 and June 30, 2003. According to Ms. Czajlikova, among the subsidized commodities there are also milk powder, several sorts of cheese and butter. The subsidy export does not apply to the export to the Czech Republic.
