The receiver of bankrupt Drotovna Holding a.s, Hlohovec, is offering for sale two sets of company assets in the first round. Set No. 4 is comprised of the Drotovna Holding trademark and set No. 8 contains inventory and packaging material. Simultaneously, the company is offering a waste dump for sale in the third round in the Vavrincove Hory locality, real estate in the locality of Risnovce and Rumanova, and an iron sludge deposit in Sulekovo. These facilities are not registered in the land register and are built on someone else’s land.
Those interested in buying the listed assets must deposit a financial security at 30 percent of the price bid and also submit a document on securing coverage of the purchase price. Potential buyers have until February 4 to submit their binding bids. The bid envelopes will be opened at Bratislava Regional Court on February 5 and bids should be evaluated within seven days.
In March 2000, an extraordinary general meeting of the largest Slovak wiremaker Drotovna, a.s., Hlohovec decided to dissolve the company without liquidation, by separating it into two firms: Drotovna Holding a.s. Hlohovec and DNF, a.s. Hlohovec. Drotovna Holding took over liabilities from the financial investment of Dro-Fin and became the owner of two subsidiaries: Drotovna Droty and Drotovna Kordy. Drotovna Droty began operation on November 1, 1999. Bratislava Regional Court declared Drotovna Holding bankrupt on July 31, 2001.
